Men ‘s Health Week with the Glad Maintenance Division

Men’s Health Week’s purpose is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. For us at Glad Maintenance, it is an occasion to shine the spotlight on the health and wellbeing of the men in our maintenance division, with a special focus on mental health. At Glad Group, we understand that maintaining physical infrastructure is crucial, but supporting the mental and emotional health of our team members is equally important.

In a field often characterised by demanding physical work and high-pressure environments, it is vital to ensure that our team members have access to the resources and support they need to thrive and be safe. We are committed to fostering a work culture where mental health is openly discussed, and seeking help is encouraged.

Our maintenance and electrical division, led by Adam Volkers, plays a critical role in the smooth operation of our services. Throughout this week, we are sharing valuable tips, resources, and stories aimed at promoting mental health awareness and wellbeing among our team. From tips to help achieve a sustainable life to accessing professional support, our goal is to provide comprehensive support to our maintenance and electrical staff.

All our employees have access to Assure Programs, a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that offers confidential counseling, support, and resources to help our team members navigate personal and professional challenges. Whether dealing with stress, anxiety, or any other mental health concerns, our employees can rely on Assure Programs for the support they need at work and in their personal lives.

In our bi-annual newsletter, we also recently shared a Wellness Mini Magazine with our teams. This magazine offers tips for sustainable living, advice for combating loneliness, recipes for gut health and energy, sleep improvement tactics, financial advice for growing super funds, and more.

Join us in recognising Men’s Health Week and reinforcing our commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of our team members. Together, we can build a supportive and healthy work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered.
