At Glad Group, we are a business of people, and the upholding of all human rights is critical across our operations and supply chain. We believe that everyone has the right to fair pay for work, dignity, respect, and freedom of choice, and to work in an environment that is safe. This is underpinned by our human values of Trust, Respect, and Integrity, and is reflected in our purpose “We create welcoming experiences and safe places, every day”.
This is a complex space, and we are committed to continuously improving by engaging with our stakeholders and adapting our approach to ensure we have the most effective practices in place to prevent and remediate modern slavery.
As such, we are proud to release our third Modern Slavery Statement a day ahead of Human Rights Day. Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December, to commemorate the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in 1948. The theme for this year is ‘Dignity, Freedom, and Justice for All.
Our policy framework articulates our human rights expectations to both our own people as well as our suppliers and other stakeholders. The following policies and programs are communicated to all employees through mandatory training, with all policies also available on our website for our external stakeholders:
– Our Code of Conduct
– Our Anti-Bribery Fraud and Corruption Policy
– Our Supplier Code of Conduct
– Various People & Culture policies including Diversity and Equal Employment and Opportunity
