Celebrating International Security Officers Day

International Security Officers Day is observed annually on 24th of July. The date was chosen to represent the 24/7 nature of security work. It is a day dedicated to recognising and appreciating the efforts, dedication, and contributions of security officers worldwide. They play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals, businesses, and public spaces and at Glad Group Services, we support and recognise the hard work our security team contributes to daily.

This year, we celebrated the achievements of our security team by hosting team bonding sessions, lunches at various workplaces across the country, and awarding them for their outstanding service.

We would like to give a special shout-out to Hanin Nahas and Ousama Issa for their exceptional service and commitment to keep the workplace safe:

Hanin Nahas

Hanin Nahas is a valued member of the Glad Group Services team at a busy shopping centre who was recently recognised by Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL). Since joining the team just over 18 months ago, she has made a real impact through her dynamic and passionate approach, and ability to work manage her duties.

Always going above and beyond, she consistently demonstrates genuine care and support to customers and is extremely effective when managing any type of challenge that may arise onsite. She has proven to be a strong team performer, driven to create exceptional customer service moments through real empathy and care.

Ousama Issa

Ousama Issa is a dedicated Security Supervisor that has been a part of the Glad Group Services team for over 5 years. He too was recently recognised by Australian Security Industry Association Limited (ASIAL). He is a highly engaged team member that is active in the recruitment and training of new staff. His abilities also lend themselves to the effective management of onsite incidents, where he works to support both customers and team members.

Recently, he has been instrumental in minimising property damage, effectively managing a code blue, and the recipient of an internal recognition award.

Glad Group Services aims to raise awareness about the challenging work undertaken by security officers and to acknowledge their commitment to protecting people and property. We take this opportunity to show gratitude and support for our security team’s services, often performed under demanding circumstances.
